To celebrate Nissan’s sponsorship of the UEFA Champions League – and our global commitment to give unexpected access to football excitement – Nissan engineered something really special.
We took a Nissan Qashqai, cut it in half and converted it into a one-of-a-kind, drivable foosball table!
From concept, to cutting the Qashqai, to making the table and players, everything was custom-made in South Africa for this innovative never been done before foosball table. It took 9 weeks of careful planning and hard work to pull this off, and we couldn’t be happier with the result!

We want as many people as possible to experience our Nissan Qashqai foosball table and see what Nissan innovation is all about. Getting our customers to experience Nissan excitement is very important in building our brand in the South African market.
We are taking the Nissan Qashqai foosball table on a national roadshow with the Nissan Knockout – a countrywide foosball competition played on our custom-made foosball table. Not only will the public get to experience playing on the only drivable foosball table in the world, but they also stand a chance to win R10 000 cash and a VIP party for them and 20 friends to watch the UEFA Champions League Final on 28 May 2016.
The Nissan Knockout was launched with the reveal of the Nissan Qashqai foosball table to media on 28 October. From here we started our customer activations and will be traveling to major venues in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Durban and Cape Town from 31 October 2015 to May 2016.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Contestants compete against each other individually or in teams of two in a 3 minute foosball match.
2. The winner/s from each game gets entered into a draw to win the main prize:
• R10 000 and a VIP party for them and 20 friends to watch the UEFA Champions League Final
3. Mini UEFA Champions League replica balls and Nissan Knockout caps will be handed out at each activation as spot prizes.
4. We are also running a Twitter campaign using #Nissanknockout where anyone who shares a picture of them with the Nissan Qashqai foosball table stand a chance to win spot prizes.
